Creative Sole Studio's designed method of instruction follows a structured sequence of training stages intended to increase student's technical skills, stamina and discipline in accordance with their age and physical development. We work extremely hard to emphasize and encourage correct class placement. Please do not assume your child's class placement.
Young dancers learn to identify basic forms of movement through imaginative games, songs, music and rhythmical patterns, all while gaining increased independence. Students will be introduced to the concepts of body, energy, space and time, as well as be encouraged to take direction from the instructor and share turns with peers.
Building on the foundation established in Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet offers concentration on concepts such as turn out, coordination, special awareness, and a specific focus on class etiquette. Pre-Ballet students will begin learning positions of the feet and introductory movement vocabulary. This is a combination class consisting of Ballet and Tap. Tap exercises will focus on ankle flexibility, coordination, clear sounds and balance. This is a 60 minute class.
With a strong introduction to movement established in Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet, dancers move on to Kinderdance with a true connection to dance! This 60 minute class will focus on basic baller technique, proper body alignment, French terminology and musicality. Students will be introduced to elementary barre and center work. This class is a combination class consisting of Ballet and Tap. Tap focus will be centered on footwork, rhythm and progressions across the floor.
Ballet one is a combination class consisting of Ballet, Tap and Jazz! This 60 minute class has a strong focus on the positions of the arms, direction of the body and increased movement vocabulary.
Ballet 2 students will begin to develop a great sense of teamwork and peer support, all while increasing their movement vocsbulsry. Formations and pathways are also taught on a larger scale. This class is a combination class consisting of Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Class is 90 minutes.
In Ballet 3 attention is paid to developing movement sequences, proper extension of the legs and feet, port de bras and balance. Students will see an increase in difficulty in barre and center work. Students begin focus on repetition and retention. This class is a combination class of Ballet, Tap and Jazz and is 90 minutes in length.
Level 4 students continue to develop extension of the legs and strengthening of the feet, as well as move on to more advanced barre and center work. Students will improve turnout and port de bras, all while being introduced to single pirouettes and grande allegro. Depending on indivual progression and development, studetns may be given the opportunity to take pre-ponite classes. Ballet 4 class is a combination class consisting of Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Class is 90 minutes in length,
Level 5 training becomes much more serious. Classes will focus on pre-ponite work, pirouettes, use of the head and upper body, fluidity of port de bras, as well as the intricacies of small and large jumps. This class is a combination class consisting of Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Class is 90 mintues in length.

For the dancer ages 10+ who has copleted the required guidelines of B1-B3. Class is 60 mintues in length with extensive barre work. Students will focus on ankle strength, balance and technique.

A beginner/intermediate level dance class opening with a high energy warmp-up and stretch, followed by across the floor work, turns and jumps! Hip-Hop students will learn how to count music, isolate body part and build layers to choreography from week to week. This is a 60 minute class.
Modern dance class allows students the opportunity to explore their own individual movement style outside the structure of traditional Ballet and Jazz technique. Class focus will be on freedom of expression, interpretation of music, principals of fall and recovery, contraction and release, breath and control. The concepts of body, space, force and time are at the heart of our modern dance curriculum. This is a 60 minute class.
